I am an avid reader, enthusiastic writer and an aspiring entrepreneur. One of my favourite quotes, "Don't let the fear of striking out, keep you from playing the game."

Smooth and sleek, if I had to describe this one using words; those would be the best adjectives to describe this smart phone. The feel of the phone is just smooth, I mean so smooth, it feels like water and if that slim fit isn’t sleek, then I don’t know what is.

Someone probably just went, its just a phone isn’t it? Well yes and no; yes it is a phone but no, its no everyday regular phone, its the Sony Xperia XZ Premium, hear that guys? Premium, because this one has been detailed to perfection.

Not to worry people, I have you covered with the Sony Xperia XZ Premium full specs and features plus price, as always, you are welcome.

The Sony Xperia XZ Premium slides smoothly into a touch screen display of 5.5 inches with a 2160 × 3840 resolution.

If that wasn’t enough, the phone is super protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both the front and back of the phone.

This isn’t any dull screen business, because the screen is tempered to a beautiful, shiny, glossy and highly reflective screen which can serve as a mirror too, (yes ladies, you can check your make up before you take that selfie).

The screen is also dust proof and water resistant for over 1.5 m and 30 minutes respectively.

Did I mention the variety of beautiful colors the Sony Xperia XZ Premium comes in? There’s luminous chrome, deep sea black and bronze pink. You can definitely find a color that matches your taste.

Weight: 191 g

Height: 156 mm

Width : 7.7 mm

Depth: 7.9 mm

I think the Sony Xperia XZ Premium slides into the right size.

There’s a USB 3.0 port at the bottom of the phone which supports fast charge 3.0. I know, the phone gets better right?

Headphone Jack:

There is a 3.5 mm headphones jack on top the phone, for all my headphone lovers out there.

Sim Tray:

There is a flap on the left side of the phone to house the Sim card tray of the primary Sim, which is then connected to the inner Sim tray which houses the secondary Sim card.

Shutter Release:

If you want a quick selfie or change to camera mode, there’s a dedicated shutter release button on top the phone that let’s you access the camera app without going to the touch screen.

Feel free to turn that music up or down with the volume buttons on the Sony Xperia XZ Premium.

The Sony Xperia XZ Premium operates a super strong octa core  Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. So be assured, there will be no lagging behind on this phone.

The phone works on a RAM of 4 GB and an internal storage space of 64 GB, with an expandable micro memory of up to 256 GB in its second Sim slot.

Operating System;

The phone runs on a new and relevant Android 7.1 Nougat.

The phone supports dual nano Sims.

Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS and Hotspot

The Sony Xperia XZ Premium two cameras, a front one for selfies and a back one for groupfie’s (yh, that’s actually a word for group photos). The Sony Xperia XZ Premium is said to have a new motion eye which captures motions, the human eye cannot see, ( very advanced if you ask me, seeing how cameras are patterned after the functionality of the eyes ).

Back Camera:

The back camera is a wild 19 mega pixels with extra features like; laser autofocus, LED flash, Geo tagging, Face detection and touch focus.

Front Camera:

You know how selfies are usually a bit dull, since the front camera’s usually have a low mega pixel; well kiss that problem good bye because its time for super selfies with the Sony Xperia XZ Premium having a front camera with a whooping 13 mega pixels. That’s a lot of pixels guys and girls.

The Sony Xperia XZ Premium has a 4k HDR video recording and here is the part which everyone is raving about; its the slow motion ability of the video camera. While the IPhone 7 shoots at 240 frames per second, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium shoots at 960 frames per second which allows for a super slow motion effect to the tune of stretching one second of shooting to about 5 seconds. Well, your phone can be used to shoot actual movie type videos with clarity and slo-mo special effects. Yh, I just saw all the videographers put down their video cameras for a bit.

Well we can’t have great videos without great sound too. So of course the Sony Xperia XZ Premium delivers here too, with a high resolution audio ( LPCM, FLAC, ALAC, DSD ), digital noise canceling, clear audio + and stereo recording. All this plus a speaker that faces forward, the sound game on this phone is tight!!

No need to have all these fun features, if the phone doesn’t have a battery life that supports it right? Well, I think a non removable 3230 mAh battery providing 72 hours of use, with quick charge 3.0 sounds about right to me.

Built to play is a phrase that defines the Sony Xperia XZ Premium, with a remote gaming ability, yes my soccer fans, it has a PS4 remote play, so feel free to have a game while prepping dinner.

Multi Touch;

You know how you want to go back to a previous picture but your friend wants to  move to the next? Well problem solved, with a multi touch ability of up to ten fingers, all hands or fingers in this case are literally on board.

Sensors are the new rave features on phones and the Sony company delivers a multi sensor phone people.

Finger print sensor; If the hassle of a password is too much for you, slide your favorite finger over the power button and get into your phone.

If you are a geographer or you just want to be aware of your surroundings, have fun with the various other sensors on the Sony Xperia XZ Premium like; magnetometer, accelerator, barometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor and proximity sensor.

The phone is expected to sell between #230,000 to #350,000 in Nigeria.
If you thought all this was great, then be informed that the expected download speed of the Sony Xperia XZ Premium is 1 Gbps, which is super fast, say no to slow page loads and with a technology that is built to adapt to your usage of the phone. I have to say, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium did not come to play games but to stand out!

  1. I hear poor battery life have killed my choice for that phone I swear the phone won’t even last for 72hours. I wonder what all this company is taking us as.
Bought Techno tab with 3000mah yet it does not last

  2. Sony has always produced sleek and spectacular phones. I like Corning Gorilla glass and the screen size. However, the battery capability is too low for a phone of such prestige. They should upgrade their structure to a higher like Gionee.

  3. I love what am actually seeing. This is great. Technology is really going up
