LG K4 2017 price in Nigeria spec and review

Writer and Social entrepreneur.

Since 2016 wasn’t too busy a year for LG, I guess they have decided that 2107 would be a very busy one. For them, 2017 would start being busy right from January 4th when they would be launching a series of phones at an event – the Consumer Electronics Show event. Some others would be waiting for thw world mobile congress by February to showcase what they have in store for us.

One of these phones to be launched at the CES 2017 is the LG K4 (2017), which would be side by side with others in the “K” series and a LG Stylus 3

The LG K4 (2017) could be classified as a mid-range phone given its specs which I’ll be walking you through as you read along.

The LG K4 (2017) supports a wide range of bands which includes the 2G, 3G and the 4G LTE. I think the 4G LTE part is a good start for whoever might be reading this.

On the dimensions, it measures 144.8 mm in length, 72.6 mm in breadth and 8 mm in thickness while it weighs 135g. it possesses a 5.0 inch screen which is already a turn off on my part. If you follow my reviews very well, you will discover my displeasure at phones with ‘not too big’ screens. They don’t just feel right while using them, but actually, I respect the choices of others who might love their phone screen this way.

This LG K4 runs on an android OS, v6.0.1 marshmallow.

This phone has a disappointing 1 GB RAM – you weren’t expecting a 4 GB RAM, were you? Even the phone to be released alongside this one with the highest specifications does not have a 4GB RAM. Moving further, the internal storage is fixed at 8 GB which with the use of micro SD card could be expanded to the size of 32 GB.

It uses a Qualcomm MSM8909 Snapdragon 210 processor with only the accelerometer and proximity sensors without the fingerprint sensor.

By convention, the rear cameras in phones always possesses higher quality than the front facing camera. I don’t know if that is some kind of rule, but if it is, this LG phone has decided to break it and ditch the conventional way this is done as it pegs both the primary (rear) and secondary (front facing) camera at same 5 Mega pixel.

There you have it, same quality of photos regardless of the camera you make use of.

To be honest, I’m very surprised at the battery of this phone. If it were to be compared with other smartphones in its category, it will sure earn a pass mark. It has a removable Li-Ion 2500mAh battery, which is exactly the same with the LG K8 (2017). As I always say, “battery is life” for smartphones.
