Lenovo, the Chinese tech giant, this month announced their new budget smartphone, the Lenovo Lemon 3. Just like Xiaomi did with the Redmi 3, this new phone from Lenovo is the first smart phone of the year from the company. And also like Xiaomi, the phone comes with interesting specs, so interesting you would be right to feel a bit confused about which phone to chose between the Redmi 3 and the Lenovo Lemon 3.

Lets take a quick look at the official specs

Dimensions, Size and Display
The slick-looking metal body measures 142 x 71 x 8mm and comes in at just 142 grams, making it seriously slim and light; which is to be expected as an industry standard. Slim and light rules these days.
The Lemon 3 has a screen size of 5 inch while the display gets the full treatment with a full HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. The screen resolution also is quite good at 1080 x 1920 pixels which for a screen of this size would give out some really sharp and brilliant pictures and videos.

Operating system, Storage, and Memory
The Lenovo Lemon 3 is an Android 5.1, Lollipop, smartphone powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor with a rating of 1.5 GHz. There is also a model of the phone with a 1.2 GHz processor. Both chipsets support a RAM of 2GB and an Adreno 405 GPU.

The phone sports an internal storage of 16 GB that can be expanded using the microSD slot provided. This can go up to 64 GB. That is over 70 GB of storage for all your files, videos and photos.

The battery is a bit of a disappointment though. With a capacity of 2750mAh, the official talk time is up to 32 hours on 3G and standby time of about 360 hours. If these official figures prove true, then the Li-Po battery is not bad at all.

In the international market, the phone is priced at just under $110, give or take a dollar. It is the price range that makes the Lenovo Lemon 3 really stand out as an impressive budget mid-range smartphone.

Looking at the specs, you’ll now understand why the Xiaomi Redmi 3 is regularly mentioned in the same conversation with Lenovo Lemon 3. Most of the specs are very similar, including the price range. So it is just apt that the next logical step for smartphones enthusiasts is to do a Lenovo Lemon 3 vs Redmi 3. We just might do that too.
