facebook, WhatsApp users

Writer and Social entrepreneur.

This season could hold a record as the one with the highest number of Facebook launched products. Right from launching a new data center, to the Messenger Lite app, to the events app and now, Facebook has launched a platform simply known as “Workplace” and is available to companies of any size. The service works like the regular Facebook, but instead of interacting with a network of friends and family, Workplace users interact with a network of co-workers.

The only difference between this and previous launched platforms and products is that Workplace is a paid to use platform. Yes, you have to pay.

*Competitive Pricing. Facebook is announcing a competitive pricing model that is based on a monthly fee per active user (so companies only pay for what they use). The more active users an organization has, the less they pay per user.

*.$3 USD first 1,000 monthly active users
*.$2 USD 1,001 – 10,000 monthly active users
*.$1 USD 10,000+ monthly active users

*.Added significant number of features over the last 18 months, including Multi-company Groups, Live, Reactions, Auto-translate, Video and group audio calling in Work Chat, Trending Posts, Search filters and others

*.MULTI PARTNER GROUP. These are shared groups that allow employees from multiple organizations to work together. All team members must be part of a Workplace community, and members from other companies won’t be able to see any information from your business outside of the multi-company groups they are in with you.

*.THE WORKPLACE PARTNER PROGRAM. This is a global ecosystem of partners, like Deloitte or Microsoft, tohelp customers get the most out of their Workplace. (For more information on a recent Deloitte survey of C-level executives that shows why Workplace is critical to the future of work, see deloittedigital.com/us/workplace.)

Please note that;
1. Workplace is entirely separate from Facebook meaning that it will come with a new login and mobile app.
2. Another important thing to note is that Workplace is an advertisement-free service hence the subscription fee.
3. Currently, there are over 1,000 businesses using Workplace!
4. New companies can get a free three-month trial period for signing up.

Facebook would never stop to amaze me. We don’t know what exactly Zuck wants to use the world to do when he finally acquires it, but as it is now, he’s hell bent on taking over the world and he’s making progress too. Are you going to give workplace a try in your company soon? Let’s hear you.
