Nigerian, Kenyan & South African Startups Can Now Join Google’s Launchpad Accelerator

In a bid to continue its expansion, big Daddy G. has decided to extend one of its programs to Nigerian startups and this one’s called the Launchpad Accelerator program, and this is the first time they are doing so.

Have you and your team set out to address a real challenge for your home city, country and region? Would you like to join an elite community of startups from around the world? Are you ready to scale your tech startup into a thriving, tech company by leveraging Google’s global reach and resources? YES? Then read on.

The program involves a two-week Google-sponsored training work that will be held at Google Headquarters in Silicon Valley. During the programme, successful applicants will be able to access Google engineers, mentors, as well as resources.

The participants will also receive various marketing opportunities through Google and credits for Google products.

Other African countries that just got this same priviledge like Nigeria included Kenya and South Africa. It is good to know that the world never ignore Africa.

According to Google, some startups will be asked to participate in a one-hour video conference with one of the Google team members. In some cases, face-to-face interviews will also be conducted.

“The programme is totally provided without charge for accepted startups. We will carry all expenses for all programme activities, including sending up to three of your startup’s team members to Silicon Valley,” mentioned Google in a blog post.

“We offer this programme without a requirement for financial consideration in return. Google or its affiliates participate in other efforts that involve investment in return for financial consideration (such as Google Ventures), but they are unrelated to Launchpad Accelerator,” the post continued.


Application deadline for Class 4 is Monday, April 24 by 9am
