The Hub has been very successful since its induction in 2013; the establishment of 45 strong startups, generation of 150 jobs and raising follow-on funds well over £30 million for the startups.

“Gravity Sketch,” Sosanya’s 3D intuitive creation tool made qualified him to become a participant of this Hub. The tool is “a simple and engaging tool that has the ambition to shape a new wave of creation”. The 3D creation tool consists of a pen and pad for sketching in real space –without a screen- using augmented reality glasses.

“These engineers have the ideas, the creativity, the technology and the passion to turn fantastic innovations into successful, global companies. At the Royal Academy of Engineering, we want to make sure these brilliant entrepreneurs receive the support they need to translate their ideas into commercial success through products that can change lives,” said Ian Shott CBE FREng, Chair of the Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise Committee.

He added, “…I’m confident we’ll see great things from these new Enterprise Fellows in the years to come. Being a Member of the Enterprise Hub is a privilege reserved for the very best – I congratulate the new Members on their achievement and welcome them all to our Enterprise Hub community.”

The selected engineers will be encamped in the Academy’s new centre which is the Taylor Centre. In the house, they will be assigned a mentor who will be dedicated to build their businesses into the commercial phase. This means Sosanya will be mentored on growing his Gravity Sketch into a very successful commercial enterprise.

Another benefit Sosanya will get from the Hub includes the opportunity to hook up with investors in networking events hosted by the academy. Congratulations, Sosanya.
